Principal's Corner
Hello Bobcats,
I would like to welcome everyone to another great year of learning! I look forward to a continued focus on high-quality academics, in a warm and nurturing environment. This is my 5th year as principal at South Colby, and I am honored to lead South Colby, with our dedicated staff, and amazing students. I have been dedicated to the field of education for 23 years, working with students in a variety of roles from kindergarten to high school. I feel so fortunate to be a part of this school, serving our students, staff, and our community here in South Kitsap.
South Colby has a dedicated an experienced staff, a committed PTSO, and caring families. We strive to provide a safe, caring, and rigorous educational environment that promotes learning and achievement for all students. We recognize and celebrate our learners’ diversity, interests, talents, and cultures – these are what make South Colby the wonderful place that it is.
I view education as an on-going and lifelong pursuit, and every year I learn from our students, my staff, and our families here at South Colby. I believe that students should be at the center of every school-related decision. Additionally, I believe that parents, families, and our community are valuable partners in a child’s education, and vital to school success. I encourage you to be involved however you can - visit our school, collaborate with staff, volunteer if you are able, and participate in our activities and social events. We are the “Family School” for many reasons, one of the most important of them being YOU.
Let’s make this an amazing year, Bobcats!
